NOTES ON DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES
Pebbair Municipality is 3rd Grade Municipality, merging Pebber Grama Panchayat and Chelimilla Grama Panchayat in the Year 2018 . It is located at latitude 23˚24 ’26 .67 “and longitude 78˚5 ‘33.33”. Its latitude is (+) 385.00 m to (+) 410.00 m. The area of this town is 27.46 square Kilometers. and dividing the town into 12 wards.
- A) Development Works:
Lake Rejuvenation (Amrit 2.0):
For the rezoning of Kasim pond in Pebbair Municipality, an underground sewage canal is being constructed along the pond at a cost of 3.14 crores and diverting the sewage from entering the pond.
Water Supply (Amrit 2.0):
10.92 crore for water supply improvement in Pebbair Municipality for construction of 2 OHSR’s and construction of pipe line.
Aspiration Toilet:
20.00 lakhs for the construction of Aspiration Toilet in Pebbair Municipality.
15th Finance :
26.0 lakh are used for purchase of sanitation autos in Pebbair Municipality.
TUFIDC Funding:
Various development works are going on in 12 wards with funds of 25.0 crores in Pebbair Municipality
Widening of Roads:
In Pebbair town, road expansion has been undertaken in March 2021. 2 out of which widening of major roads viz
1) Wanaparthy Road: 40 feet to 80 feet has been taken up. (95% complete)
2) Old NH 44 Road : 60 feet to 100 feet has been taken up. (100% complete)
A total residential and non-residential buildings were removed during the widening of 2 main roads in the town.

- E) Haritha Haram:
For the sapling program in Pebbair town, nurseries were set up by women’s associations in the town and plants were raised.
For the year 2026-2027, 55.83% of the target of 16,750 plants against the target of 30,000 plants under the Indira Vanaprabha Program has been completed.
- f) Property Tax:
A total of (21) blocks in the town for property tax in Pebbair Municipal Society, similarly.

- G) MEPMA:
Pebbair Municipality total of 297 women self help societies in there are 2,947 women society members in these women societies.
There are a total of 7 Disability Associations in Pebbair Municipality there are 35 Disability Association members in these associations.
Pebbair Municipality has 10 women slum federations and 320 women members have been made literate through Ullas program for neglected women.
Interest Free Loans:
Pebbair Municipality for the year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. 135 Shgs in 15,65,683 amount have been sanctioned.
Indiramma saree distribution programme:
As part of Indira Mahila Shakti celebrations, the government has distributed Indiramma sarees to deserving poor women in Pebbair Municipality.
Atma Nirbar Scheme:
A survey was conducted and 1,392 people were identified for loan sanction through Atma Nirbhar scheme to street vendors in Pebbair Municipality. 10,000/- to 1,300 people in the first installment of Rs.10,000/- each to the street vendors and in the second installment of Rs. 20,000/- to 371 persons and third installment of Rs.50,000/- to 178 persons
Bank Linkage Loans:
For the year 2026-2027, 23 women’s associations have been given Rs. Bank linkage loans of Rs.275.50 lakhs have been sanctioned associations for a target
It is ready to grant Rs.2.50 crores to a total of 340 women’s groups through Stri Nidhi in 5 municipalities of district.
10 lakh per week accident insurance and loan waiver in case of accidental death of a member taking a loan through Stri Nidhi
Through the registration of the movement, the women’s association members were made aware of the training programs to start small scale industries.
A total of 174 women members have been sanctioned Rs. 2.61 crores through Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme in 5 municipalities of Pebbair district as a part of making crores of women millionaires through the ambitious Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme.
As part of the Amrit 2.0 scheme, plants are being planted for water conservation by women’s groups near ponds and parks in 5 municipalities.
80 Mahila Arogya Samithi will be set up in 40 federations by the National Urban Health Mission. Through them, women are being made aware about health.
Keeping in mind the teenage girls (14 to 18 years old) should undergo health check-up at the primary health center and advise them to take a balanced diet and grow up healthy. Also, friendship groups are formed for teenage girls
- H) Build Now:
Telangana Government launched April 2025 Build Now website for building permits. A total of 124 applications have been received till 16-09-2026 in Pebbair Municipality through the Build Now. Of these, 97 applications were approved, 21 applications were rejected and 6 applications were pending.
- I) Public Governance (Scheme of 6 Guarantees):
For the welfare of the people of Telangana, the government has introduced 6 guarantees namely 1) Mahalakshmi 2) Grihajyoti 3) Yuva Vikasam 4) Indiramma houses 5) Cheyuta 6) Rythu Bharosa and the date for their implementation. As a part of that, centres have been set up in 12 wards of Pebbair Municipality and a total of 5,752 applications have been received and made online. At present the eligible people in the town are benefiting from zero (0) current bill and gas subsidy and through schemes such as construction of Indiramma houses, free bus travel for women etc.
