Address : Amarachinta Road, Market Yard, Atmakur, Wanaparthy District.
Atmakur Municipality in Wanaparthy district was formed as a third-tier municipality on 02.08.2018. According to the 2011 census, the municipality has a population of 15,039 with a total of 3,698 households. The area of this town is 23.55 square meters. and dividing the town into 10 wards. The surrounding village of Khanapur were merged into Atmakur Municipality.
- A) Development Works:
Lake Rejuvenation (Amrit 2.0):
For the rejuvenation of Parameshwara Cheruvu in Atmakur Municipality, an underground sewage canal is being constructed along the pond at a cost of 3.14 crores and diverting the sewage from entering the pond.
Water Supply (Amrit 2.0):
17.00 crore for water supply improvement in Atmakur Municipality for construction of 2 survey reservoirs and construction of Feder Line 5.5 Km and Distribution 9.5 Km
Aspiration Toilet:
20.00 lakhs for the construction of 8 Seat Aspiration Toilet in Atmakur Municipality.

For the sapling program in Atmakur Municipality , nurseries were set up by women’s associations in the town and plants were raised.
For the year 2025-2026, 90% of the target of 27,000 plants against the target of 30,000 plants under the Indira Vanaprabha Program has been completed.

A total of (28) blocks in the town for property tax in Wanaparthy Municipal Society, 24 blocks in Atmakur town and 4 blocks in Khanapur Village are included in the Municipality.

- G) MEPMA:
In Atmakur municipalitiy. There are a total 1245 of women self help societies women society members in these women societies, and there are total of 3 Disability Associations in municipality
Athmakur Municipality has 10 women slum federations and 1 Town Level Federation. 85 women members have been made literate through Ullas program for neglected women.
Interest Free Loans:
106 societies in Atmakur municipality, for the year 2023-2024 and 2024-2025. 13,95,206 lakhs loans have been sanctioned
Indiramma saree distribution programme:
As part of Indira Mahila Shakti celebrations, the government has distributed Indiramma sarees to deserving poor women in Atmakur municipality
Atma Nirbar Scheme:
A survey was conducted and 7832 people were identified for loan sanction through Atma Nirbhar scheme to street vendors in 5 municipalities of Wanaparthy district. 10,000/- to 5745 people in the first installment of Rs.10,000/- each to the street vendors and in the second installment of Rs. 20,000/- to 3202 persons and third installment of Rs.50,000/- to 1219 persons
Bank Linkage Loans:
For the year 2026-2027, 131 women’s associations have been given Rs. Bank linkage loans of Rs.329.00 lakhs have been sanctioned to 35 women’s associations for a target of 59.19 lakh loans.
It is ready to grant Rs.2.50 crores to a total of 154 women’s groups through Stri Nidhi in Atmakur municipality
10 lakh per week accident insurance and loan waiver in case of accidental death of a member taking a loan through Stri Nidhi
Through the registration of the movement, the women’s association members were made aware of the training programs to start small scale industries.
A total of 174 women members have been sanctioned Rs. 2.61 crores through Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme in 5 municipalities of Wanaparthy district as a part of making crores of women millionaires through the ambitious Indira Mahila Shakti Scheme.
As part of the Amrit 2.0 scheme, plants are being planted for water conservation by women’s groups near ponds and parks in 5 municipalities.
80 Mahila Arogya Samithi will be set up in 40 federations by the National Urban Health Mission. Through them, women are being made aware about health.
Keeping in mind the teenage girls (14 to 18 years old) should undergo health check-up at the primary health center and advise them to take a balanced diet and grow up healthy. Also, friendship groups are formed for teenage girls
- H) Basti Davakhanas:
Basti dispensaries have been set up at Bala kishtamma nagar,4th ward and mini stadium 8th ward in Atmakur Municipality as per government directives.
- i) Purchase of vehicles:
Two (2) garbage collection tractors and three (3) autos were purchased.
- J) Build Now:
Telangana Government launched April 2025 Build Now website for building permits. A total of 85 applications have been received till 30.05.2026 in Atmakur Municipality through Atty Build Now. Of these, 54 applications were approved, 22 applications were rejected and 09 applications were pending.
- K) Public Governance (Scheme of6 Guarantees):
For the welfare of the people of Telangana, the government has introduced 6 guarantees namely 1) Mahalakshmi 2) Grihajyoti 3) Yuva Vikasam 4) Indiramma houses 5) Cheyuta 6) Rythu Bharosa and the date for their implementation. As a part of that, centers have been set up in 10 wards of Atmakur Municipality and a total of 3,052 applications have been received and made online. At present the eligible people in the town are benefiting from zero (0) current bill and gas subsidy and through schemes such as construction of Indiramma houses, free bus travel for women etc.
