DEPARTMENTAL ACTIVITIES – WANAPARTHY DISTRICT (2026–27)

INTRODUCTION:

The Telangana Board of Intermediate Education (TGBIE) is committed to providing quality Intermediate Education in the State. Intermediate Education serves as a vital bridge between School Education and Higher Education, preparing students for higher studies, professional courses, employment opportunities, and responsible citizenship. The District Intermediate Education Office (DIEO), Wanaparthy, is responsible for implementing the policies, programmes, academic initiatives, examination activities, and welfare schemes of TGBIE and the Government of Telangana. The office coordinates with Government, Government Sector, and Private Junior Colleges to ensure quality education, transparency, accountability, and holistic development of students.

1. STUDENT WELFARE SCHEMES:

The Government of Telangana has introduced several welfare measures to improve access, equity, and quality in Intermediate Education.

Government Junior Colleges

  • Free Education to all students studying in Government Junior Colleges.
  • Free Textbooks for all students.
  • Scholarships to eligible SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority and other categories.
  • Post-Matric Scholarships.
  • Concessional Transport Facilities for eligible students.
  • Distribution of Shoes and other welfare items as announced by the Government.
  • Implementation of Breakfast Programme and Mid-Day Meal Programme in Government Junior Colleges from the Academic Year 2026–27.
  • Special support for girl students and economically weaker sections.
