Introduction of department activities:
The Telangana Fire, Disaster Response, Emergency and Civil Defence Department (TGFD)attends Fire, Rescue and Emergency calls. Provides stand by to VVIPs to prevent untoward incidents. And also Issues No Objection Certificates to buildings of more than 15 meters height for commercial/business purpose 18 meters and above height for residential purpose and buildings of public congregation like schools, cinema halls, function halls, religious places, which are more than 500 Sq. Meter in plot area or 6 meters and above in height as per The Telangana Fire Services Act, 1999 and Licence to Fire Crackers shop as per GO Ms No 47 Home (Services.IV) Department dated 27.04.2016.
