In compliance of G.O.Ms.No.20, BC Welfare (C) Dept., dated 17.010.2022 two Agricultural degree (B.Sc (Hons) Agriculture) colleges for women, one at  Karimnagar and another at Wanaparthy  were started by Mahatma Jyothibha Phule Telangana Backward Classes Residential Educational Institutions Society, Hyderabad.

The college at Wanaparthy is functioning in temporary premises beside double bedroom flats at Peddagudem with 120 students. It was inaugurated on 19th December 2022 by the honorable ministers of state, Agriculture, BC Welfare, Education etc. and conducting of classes for the prescribed first semester courses have commenced immediately in a digital class room equipped with internet and interactive digital board. The students are also being trained in presentation of specific topics related to the ongoing courses.

Besides the regular academic activity, the students are encouraged to participate in various sports and games (both indoor and outdoor) and different cultural activities on festival days for their all-round development. The students are divided into five groups and each group is mentored by a teacher to counsel, guide and encourage them to perform well.

In addition to conducting the practical classes related to different subjects, visits by students to nearby agriculture and horticulture fields were also organized to facilitate their interaction with farmers regarding growing of various crops and various field related problems.

The students also attended on-campus talks on important topics like health & hygiene, cyber security, various career options related to agricultural science etc. Recently on the occasion of Dr BR Ambedkar Jayanti an elocution competition was conducted and the winners of first and second positions were rewarded by the District Collectorate of Wanaparthy.
