Election – Special Summary Revision Meeting

The Hon’ble Collector & District Magistrate Smt.Shaik Yasmeen Basha, IAS has directed the officials to prepare the special summary revision draft voter list as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.

The Hon’ble Collector & District Magistrate Smt.Shaik Yasmeen Basha, IAS held a meeting on special summary revision and voter registration at IDOC conference hall on Wednesday. Speaking on the occasion, The Hon’ble Collector said that the Election Commission of India has released the schedule,She said that the draft voter list should be prepared in an armed manner. The Hon’ble Collector pointed out that while there are 2 lakh 37 thousand people in the district, there has been a decrease of 11 thousand people in the draft list. The Hon’ble Collector said that through the newly installed software, similar photos of voters will be identified and deleted, as part of this, 8 thousand voters have been deleted. She said that voters who have completed 18 years of age should be identified and registered within 15 days, those who are dead should be identified and removed from the list and the list should be prepared.

The Hon’ble Collector said that the booth level officials should go door to door and complete the voter registration. The Hon’ble Collector said that new voters should be registered properly through Form-6 and Aadhaar seeding should be done through Form-6 (b). The Hon’ble Collector said that the special officers, blos and supervisors should inspect the polling centers and complete the voter list without any mistakes. She said that voter registration details should be entered in Garuda app.
