 NOTES ON DEVELOPMENTAL ACTIVITIES

  • Amarchinta town in Wanaparthy district was constituted as a third-class municipal corporation on 08.2018. As per the 2011 census, the town population of this municipality is 11225 with a total household population of 3008 and the town area is 18.96 sq.km and is divided into 10 wards.
  1. Development works: –
  • In Amarchinta town, an expenditure of Rs. 12 lakhs has been made for sanitation and drinking water supply in the year 2023-24 through SFC (Urban Development) funds.
  • Construction work of vegetable market at a cost of Rs. 29 crores is currently in progress.
  • 50% completion of Vaikuntha Dham construction works with a budget of Rs. 00 lakh
  • Central lighting and divider works were completed in the year 2021-2022 with a budget of Rs. 45 (One crore forty five lakhs) from SFC (Urban Progress) funds.
  • 03 public parks, 7 public toilets were completed in various wards,
  • Construction of a municipal office with a budget of Rs. 00 lakhs.
  • CC roads in the town were completed with a budget of Rs. 00 lakhs released from CM Assurance funds.
  • CC roads in the town were completed with a budget of Rs. 5 crores released from TUFIDC funds. And CC drainage works are in progress.
  • 6 Telangana sports grounds were constructed in various wards in the town.
  • Construction work of Faecal Sludge treatment plant (FSTP) is in progress near Mastipuram X Road.

Special Development Funds: –

  • 00 Lakhs Laying of CC Road From Marikal road Via Municipal office to Thanda Road in Amarchintha Municipality.

 Nagarabhivrudhi Funds: –

  • Out of 6 works Under Nagarabhivrudhi 5 works Submitted Tenders Evaluation
  • 7.70 crore CC roads Tenders Evaluation Stage.
  • 3.10 crore CC drains in each ward of the town Tenders Evaluation Stage.
  • 90 lakhs for junction development Tenders Evaluation Stage.
  • 1.00 crore for park development Tenders Evaluation Stage.
  • 30 lakhs for culverts Tenders Evaluation Stage.
  • 2.00 crore for multi-purpose building Land Not Identified.

  1. e) Greenery: –

As part of the Greenery program, an urban nature reserve was established near Rajavali Dargah in Amarchinta Municipality, tree parks were established in 2nd ward Nandu and SC Colony areas, a nursery was established near Thanda in 2nd ward, near the Municipal Office. And a Miya walk was established near Mastipuram Cross Road in 7th ward. Plants were planted on both sides of the main road up to the outskirts of the city. And show plants and flower plants were planted in the middle of the divider in the city.

  1. f) TSB Pass: –

 Out of the 110 applications received through TSB Pass for construction of houses in Amarachinta town, 110 were granted permission for construction of houses and out of 4 applications received for layout, 4 were granted permission for layout.

  1. g) Sanitation: –

Before the formation of Amarachinta Municipal Corporation, there was only one sanitation vehicle in the sanitation department. At present, there are 6 vehicles. Swachha Autos – 2, Electric Swachha Autos – 2, Water Tank – 1, One fogging machine for mosquito control in the town and one mounted sprayer machine for the prevention of various diseases in the town were purchased. Two charging hand sprayer pumps were purchased.

  1. H) Indiramma Houses: –

The Telangana government has allocated 100 houses in each ward of the town for the poor who do not have houses. Of these, the District Collector, Wanaparthy, has so far distributed the proceeds for the construction of 90 houses to the beneficiaries. Of these, 70 beneficiaries have started the construction work Basement Level – 12, Wall Level – 08, Slab Level – 21, Completed – 16 Houses constructions are completed.
