Sri. Ashish Sangwan, I.A.S Additional Collector (Local Bodies) has directed the concerned officials to organize awareness seminars on the marketing of products of various sectors for the women of the district and work for economic development.

On Tuesday, he participated in the concluding program of the training organized for women’s association members (MEDP) on manufacturing of various sectors of products and by-products for women under the auspices of College of Horticulture, Mojerla, Peddamandadi mandal. Speaking on the occasion, he said that a 12-day training program was organized and completed for 30 women from 20th to 10th January with the courtesy of NABARD, Konda Laxman Bauji Telangana State horticulture college.

     Speaking on the occasion, the District Additional Collector said that the products manufactured by self-help groups in gram panchayats should be registered online, and women should acquire skills and grow economically through training. He suggested that encouraging the manufacture of by-products is a way to improve employment opportunities for rural women and make women self-reliant. He handed over certificates to the women who completed the training program.

Later, the trained women explained their views, among which one woman said that the soaps she made helped her get relief from chronic facial scars and headaches.

    He said that the shampoo made by another woman made the hair very soft, reduced dandruff and reduced hair fall. He said that tea powder was made from lemon grass leaves and dark stalks.

     In this program DRDO Narasimhu, Additional DRDO Renuka, College of horticulture, mojerla, harvest technology lab officer Dr. J. Shankaraswamy, Associate Dean Lakshminarayana, NABARD DDM Shanmukachari, Zilla mahila samakhya bhavan president Indira and others participated.
