FOETUS SEX DETERMINATION TESTS.

District Collector Smt. Shaik Yasmeen Basha, I.A.S. directed the authorities that everyone has a responsibility to protect the unborn child.

       On Thursday, the district collector unveiled brochures set up by the district medical and health department in her chamber. On this occasion, the District Collector said that it was a legal offense to perform pregnancy determination tests. (PC, PNDT Act. 1994) The District Collector explained that those who perform, perform and promote parental and fetal sex determination tests are liable to imprisonment for up to 3 years and a fine of Rs. 50,000 / -.

        The District Collector pointed out that we all have a responsibility to prevent miscarriages and fetuses and to protect the unborn.

        District Medical and Health Officer Dr. Chandu Nayak, District Programming Officer (DPHO)     Dr. Ravi Shankar, Medical Department staff and others were present on the occasion.
