DISTRICT PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICE

The Main activity of the Information and Public Relations Department is to publicize the Government Welfare and Developmental activities through different media and to take the schemes at gross route level through media. The department also liaison department between government and public.

Setup of the office of the D.P.R.O.,Wanaparthy: The Government has established the Office of the D.P.R.O. at newly formed District of Wanaparthy vide G.O. Rt.No.2224 GA(I&PR) Dept., Dt:11.10.2016. with the following posts.

Location of the D.P.R.O. Office: At present the Office of the D.P.R.O. is situated at  Integrated District Offices Complex, Room No.29, Marrikunta, Wanaparthy. The D.P.R.O. Office is having  the following equipment.

Submission of Press Clippings: Every day the D.P.R.O. will submit the Positive/ Adverse Press Clippings to the District Collector on Government Welfare and Developmental activities published in various News Papers.

1. Coverage of VIP, VVIPs Programmes: The D.P.R.O. will also cover the VIP, VVIPs Programmes like Governor, Chief Minister, Minister, Ministers and District Collector etc., held in the District through Print and Electronic Media.
2. Issue of Accreditation Cards to the Journalists: One of the important activity of the D.P.R.O. to issue Accreditation Cards to the Eligible Journalists in the District who will cover the Government Welfare Activities.
3. Issue of Health Cards to the Journalists: The D.P.R.O. is the authority to Issue Health Cards also to the Eligible Journalists.
4. Conducting of Kalajatha Programmes: The Government has allotted (13) members team of TSS (Telangana Samskruthika Saradhi) The D.P.R.O. will issue the Schedule of TSS by every month with the approval of District Collector to perform the Kalajatha Programmes in the Villages on Welfare and Developmental Activities.
5. Old Age Artist Pension: At present the D.P.R.O. is also looking after the subject of Old Age Artists Pension which was sanctioning by the Department of Culture.

There are (31) old age artists are getting monthly pension of Rs.3,016/- PM in the district
