Agriculture Statistics:
1. Rainfall Reports:
At present there are (9) Manual Raingauge stations existing in the district on the premises of the Tahsildars office(Old Mandal headquarters) and the Rainfall is being measured at 8.30 AM every day by the Deputy Tahsildar of the Mandal and also (5) new rain gauges are being installed in new Mandals i.e. Amarchintha, Madanapur, Revally, Srirangapur & Chinnambavi Mandals, and the report is entered in DES website in all 365 days by the MPSO of the concerned Mandal and the DySO Working in RDOs office shall monitor the submission of the reports.
Apart from manual Raingauge stations (20), Automatic Weather Stations are existing in the district covering all (14) Mandals. AWS collects Rainfall, wind speed, wind direction, pressure, Humidity, the temperature, in addition, it also measures global radiation, and soil moisture at the desired location,s and the data is kept on the TSDPS website every hour, it can be accessed by general public also. TSDPS launched a mobile app TS weather android app and it can be used by the general public also. TSDPS installed an LED display board on weather updates every hour in the district and it is located at IDOC, Wanaparthy.
Rainfall data of manual and AWS has been taken up in TSDPS and integrated rainfall reports are kept on the DES website by 10.30 AM every day for all (14) Mandals in the district and rainfall data is to be submitted to the District Collector, Wanaparthy.
2. Area Statistics:
Area sown figures are being collected by the MPSO at the Mandal level from the AEOs who are collecting data through Rythu Samagra Survey (RSS) portal every week and area figures are reconciled with the Agriculture, Horticulture, and irrigation departments at the Mandal level, and prepare the Agriculture Census abstract for Vanakalam & Yasangi seasons separately.
Submission of Advance estimates on crop-wise area sown particulars and production estimates based on the crop-cutting experiments conducted and prevailing seasonal conditions (4) times in the year submitted to the Government.
Sample survey through survey CTO APP is being conducted in (48) selected villages under TRAS Scheme, in each village (20) survey numbers are given randomly and the MPSO has to visit the fields by using survey CTO App and land utilization details are being collected. The survey process is going on during this Rainy season and it will be completed shortly.
3. Yield Statistics:
General Crop Estimation Survey: The objective of the crop estimation survey is to obtain the estimates of yield of the principal crops in the district, crop cutting experiments are being conducted by the MPSOs of the planning department and AEOs of the Agriculture department. A total of (436) experiments on (12) major crops were planned during the Rainy season, 2022 and during Yasangi,2022-‘23 (148) experiments have been planned on (5) major crops.
Crop Cutting Experiments on Fruits & Vegetable crops: (24) Experiments are being planned on Mango & Onion crops during Vankalam,2021.
a) Price Statistics:
The prices have been collected on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis for the compilation of inflation at different levels in selected centers and Revenue division headquarters. The collection of prices is a very important parameter in the estimation of GSDP.
Daily prices of 6 essential commodities (Rice, Onion, Red Chillies, Redgramdal, Groundnut oil, Tamarind) are being collected from the Division headquarters i.e., Wanaparthy and the price details are being entered on the DES website every working day.
Weekly prices of 21 Essential commodities rates have been collected from the Wanaparthy center and the price details are being entered on the DES website every Friday.
Daily wages of Agriculture and Non-Agriculture Labour are collected every month from Rajapet village of Wanaparthy Mandal every last Saturday of the month.
Wanaparthy urban center has been selected for repeated house rent surveys and reports submitted to the DES every month.
For preparing Consumer Price Index (CPI) 5 centers from the district have been selected. In Rural (4) Mandal headquarters i.e., Pebbair, Srirangapur, Revally & Madanapur has been selected and reports are being submitted for 4 weeks. (i.e., every week one center) Wanaparthy is selected under the urban price collection center and the prices for 4 weeks has been collecting and submitting to DES.
Wholesale prices of Live stock products are collected every month last Saturday from Pebbair Mandal headquarters and entered into the details on the DES website.
Farm harvest Prices: Every year prices of important crops have been collected in the selected centers for selected crops for (6 to 8) weeks in the peak harvesting stage of the crops and reports are submitted to the DES through the website.
b) Industrial Statistics:
Annual Survey of Industries (ASI) The annual survey of industries is the principal source for most of the basic statistics of the industrial sector. The ASI covers the entire factory sector comprising factories registered under the factories act 1948. The information collected is used for the estimation of GSDP. In our district (8) units have been selected and the data collection is under process.
4. Socio-Economic Survey(SES):
The national sample surveys were set up by the Government of India in 1950 for the collection of socio-economic data employing scientific sampling methods. On the same lines state DES conducts field surveys and samples allotted by NSSO.
In the SES 79th Round “Comprehensive Annual Modular Survey of Ayush” a survey has been conducted in our district (8) samples in rural and (8) samples in urban have been selected and the survey is Commencing and work is in progress.
5. Annual Accounts of Local bodies for the year 2021-22:
Annual accounts of GPs, Municipalities, MPPs & ZPs are one of the inputs for analysis and use the results in the compilation of GSDP & GDP estimates which represents the economic situation of the state.
We collected annual accounts of GPs, Municipalities, MPPs & ZP for the year 2021-22 and entered the data in the DES website for further analysis at the state level.
6. Mandal & District Hand Book of Statistics for the year 2020-21:
Data for preparation of the District Hand Book of Statistics for the year 2020-21 is completed and the book is also published and made available for all the District Officers and other stakeholders.
Data for the Mandal Hand Book of Statistics for the year 2020-21 is collected in all (14) Mandals by the MPSOs and Submitted to DE&S Hyderabad.
7. Other Surveys and Statistics:
Adhoc Surveys: In every (5) year Adhoc surveys such as the Census of land holdings, and 6th Census of land holdings have been completed & the 6th Minor Irrigation Census and first Census of Water Bodies with the reference year 2017-18 have been completed recently and data is submitted to the Government.
7th Economic Census was also conducted with the technical support of CSC (Common Service Centers) and the data is submitted to the GOI through the website.
8. District Knowledge and Innovation Centre (DKIC):
The Department of Planning Government of Telangana has established District Knowledge and Innovation Centers (DKICs) in all districts. The center will support the district administration to plan and monitor to conduct district-specific action research, data analysis, and evaluations, etc. to build evidence, bring in-need-based information and changes to support the district administration. DKICs will use geospatial data to provide different kinds of Maps to the concerned departments and prepared maps for Health, Education, CDS & Veterinary departments and also prepared maps for election purposes.
9. Planning Subjects:
1.Constituency Development Programme (CDP):
Under this programme each Hon’ble MLA and MLC can propose developmental works worth of Rs.3 crores of his choice every year which are to be implemented by the District Collector. In Wanaparthy district one (1)Assembly Constituency i.e., Wanaparthy A.C is existing fully. Two (2) mandals Kothakota and Madanapur come under the purview of Devarakadra Assembly Constituency, three (3) mandals i.e., Pangal, Weepangandla and Chinnambavi come under the purview of Kollapur Assembly Constituency and two (2) mandals Amarachintha and Atmakur come under Makthal Assembly Constituency and the Year wise details of works sanctioned, completed and works progress along with the funds released to the Executive Agencies under Constituency and progress of the works under the scheme are as shown below.

2. Special Development Fund(SDF):
The Government have released funds under Special Development Fund (SDF) based on the works proposed at District Level by the District Collector.
