Saralasagar Project
The Sarala Sagar Project in Wanaparthy District, Telangana, is a unique irrigation project that utilizes a siphon system, making it the second largest in Asia with this technology. It irrigates 4,182 acres of agricultural land and is in Madanapur Mandal, about 20 km from the district headquarters. The project was started by Raja Rameshwara Rao of Wanaparthy, and the siphon technology was adapted from California, USA.
