Brief Information About Department:

The Minorities Welfare Department is working towards the Development & welfare of social and Economical up liftmen of the Minorities Communities consists of Muslims Christians, Sikhs, Buddhist, Janis& Parses.

The Wanaparthy District newly formed with the population of 5,78,329, in which the Minorities’ population is 93,291, as the Minorities percentage is 7.08% to whom the following welfare activities Schemes are implementing successfully by the following Govt. By providing financial assistance to the poor   Minority Communities.

• 3 Minorities Residential Schools and 3 Minorities Residential Junior Colleges in Wanaparthy District. 1531 students studing in this 2026-27 Acadamic year.
• Government introduced distribution of Sewing machines to poor and eligible Minorities women under Indiramma Minorities Mahila Shakthi Scheme. 291 sewing machines distributed in 2024-25 year and selected 200 candidates list forwarded to head office for the release of sewing machines in this 2025-26 year.
• Government released 5 sewing machines to Eligible Christian women in 2024-25 year under Indiramma Minorities Mahila Shakthi Scheme.
• Government allotted funds for conduct of Christmas feast, White washing & Lighting to the churches on behalf of the Government during Christmas 2025. Feast conducted in Wanaparthy constituency with an amount of Rs.2,00,000/- and funds released to 23 eligible churches in Wanaparthy constituency withan amount of 30,000/- each.
• Government introduced distribution of sewing Machine, Petty Bussiness,E Scooter, E Bike, Motor Bike, Scooty to Christian Community. online applications received Selection of beneficiaries is under progress.
• Government introduced Indiramma Minorities Mahila Yojana to setting up petty business and make Minorities women self-employable. 50,000/- one time grant per unit allotted to establish petty business as 100% subsidy. 45 units allotted to wanaparthy District. Online applications invited from eligible women and 363 applications received. Selection of beneficiaries is under progress.
• Government introduced Revanth Anna ka Sahara Miskeeno ke liye scheme for Rehabilitation of Muslim Fakeer,Dudekula & Other Vulnerable Muslim Community. two wheeler mopeds with cost of upto 1.00lakh per beneficiaries distributed to Muslim Fakeer,Dudekula & Other Vulnerable group who are engaged in selling Fruits. 34 online applications received for 5 allotted 5 units. Selection of beneficiaries is under progress.
• Government introduced distribution of E Scooter to Minorities Youth for providing an assured livelihood opportunity by siging them up with technology platform, uber/ Rapido as a Driver partner. Government will supply 1,50,000/- casted Escooter to youth with 80% subsidy. 30 units allotted to Wanaparthy District. Online applications invited from eligible minorities Youth and 01.03.2026 is last date for submission of application.
• Government introduced a scheme for rehabilitation of poor Members of Turka Kasha Muslim Community who are engaged in stone cutting activities for their livelihood by providing Toolkits and One generator to each member. 43 units allotted to Wanaparthy District. Online applications invited from eligible minorities Youth and 01.03.2026 is last date for submission of application.
