STATE AUDIT DEPARTMENT

BRIEF INTRODUCTION ABOUT  THE DEPARTMENT:

The primary statutory function of the District Audit Office, state Audit, Wanaparthy under the provisions of T.S State Audit Act-1989 ( Act 9 of 1989 ) and rules framed there under, is to conduct audit on the accounts of local bodies and other institutions in the district. The office of the District Audit Officer, State Audit, Wanaparthy was created during districts re-organisation in Telangana State.

Besides conducting the audit of said institutions, we must take up any scheme audits entrusted by Government through the Director of state Audit, Telangana, Hyderabad. After completion of audit, audit reports will be issued duly raising objections on the defects noticed and the same will be communicated to the Executive Authorities as well as to the higher authorities of the concerned institutions. If there are any serious irregularities pointed out in the audit will be issued special letters to the executive authorities concerned for his explanation or reply. If the explanation of reply is unsatisfactory then a surcharge Certificate issued for recovery of amount from the executive authority.

The Audit programme of Annual Action Plan will be communicated from the Director of State Audit, Telangana, Hyderabad and all the staff of District Audit Offices shall scrupulously be followed the same for timely completion of audit.

After completion of audit annual action plan, Consolidated Audit Review Report and District Audit Report will be submitted to the Director of State Audit. In turn, basing on the District Audit Reports of all the Districts, the Director of State Audit, Telangana, Hyderabad will prepare State Audit Report for placing it in the State Assembly.

The Office of the District Audit Officer, State Audit, Wanaparthy was created during district re-organization in Telangana State, and the Office is located in IDOC Room No 222 & 223, Wanaparthy.
